This is my first upload for Senseless Optimism, following our first time seeing them live as they opened for Chadwick Stokes & The Pintos at The Flying Monkey up in New Hampshire. The historic venue had great acoustics despite the sound system not being quite as tuned as one would hope.
We were totally blown away by Brittany and the whole band. They are incredibly talented musicians and performers, and Brittany has some PIPES! We were treated to a set full of new and some yet-to-be-released tunes - as well as an EPIC cover of Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin.
The recording quality is middling to fair at parts with more and less crowd chatter depending on the song. Overall it turned out well considering the venue was not especially friendly towards recording and I ended up having to be more clandestine with it.
I'm uploading this a few weeks later having seen them several more times and preparing to see them again tonight and tomorrow night as they continue opening for some of our favorite performing artists (Chadwick Stokes & The Pintos). I've got a few more uploads to share as I find time to process them, including a very high quality recording from Infinity Hall in CT. Stay tuned!
